Message from the Founder
On behalf of my entire family, along with a special greeting from each of our employees (Servants), we are grateful you’re taking your precious time to visit our website.
LaVallee’s was founded over 35 years ago in 1977, when I purchased a station wagon for 400 dollars and started delivering bread on the way home from my full time job at Quinzani’s Bakery. I was set apart to work, and learn every phase of the bakery trade at our current longest-standing supplier. The LaVallee family has always been a builder of relationships, and interested in helping each one of our employees, customers, and vendors succeed in their own marketplace.
Today our family business has been graced with our children as second generation leaders; Both Jeffrey and Nicole play strong integral roles in the current and future success of LaVallee’s. That makes us a team of 4 along with my wife of 38 years, Barbara, who held everything together when I botched things up.
Today we are responsible for assisting customers for their breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catering needs on a day to day basis. Our managing philosophy is very simple – be a servant leader, show respect and dignity to all people, coach, teach, train and encourage all team members to go to their highest level. A true believer in this concept showed its fruits of labor when in 2006 our longest standing customer, Joe Nocera of The Chateau family restaurant group, asked our family to introduce them to the Massachusetts Restaurant Hall of Fame. LaVallee’s was the first vendor in the history of the Hall of Fame to introduce a customer as a recipient.
